Project Planner

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and facilitate regular cross-functional / project team meetings.  Develop detailed task lists and      work effort assessment and track short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all departments and team members and document these details   

  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Director and Manager, Project Managers, Construction Manager, Design  

  • Managers, Design Coordination Engineers, Project-In-Charge and Commissioning Engineers and stakeholders to document project goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables.   

  • Create detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project, Primavera, or other project management software.  

  • Develop detailed schedules based on work breakdown structures and task breakdown  

  • Set and enforce realistic deadlines, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely completion.  

  • Ensure required project data and information is regularly entered into the project planning tool and project document management system  

  • Participate in contract reviews to understand & facilitate budget baseline.  

  • Identify potential risks and issues that could affect project timelines and deliverables.  

  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external teams to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work responsibilities, and estimate to complete.  

  • Participate in project review meetings to validate the financial health of the projects   

  • Ensure the project plan incorporates quality assurance activities to ensure the final product meets project standards and client expectations.  

  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess what went well and identify areas for improvement in future projects.  

  • Provide input for project planning processes for continual improvement.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.   

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
