Safety Officer / Safety Engineer 

Department: Corporate Services 

Role Overview: 
The Safety Officer/Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards across project sites. This role leads safety inspections, conducts risk assessments, and promotes a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and incidents. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with OSH standards and company safety policies 

  • Lead inspection and tagging of equipment, lifting gears, and fire extinguishers prior to deployment 

  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments (HIRAC) 

  • Facilitate toolbox meetings and safety orientations 

  • Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work practices on site 

  • Respond to accidents/incidents and conduct safety investigations 

  • Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions 

  • Recommend improvements to enhance safety standards and procedures 

  • Support implementation of company safety programs and initiatives 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field preferred) 

  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in safety management 

  • Accredited Safety Officer with BOSH Training 

  • Knowledgeable in OSH standards and safety documentation 

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills 

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven
