
Safety Officer / Safety Engineer

Role Overview:
The Safety Officer/Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards across project sites. This role leads safety inspections, conducts risk assessments, and promotes a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and incidents.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and evaluate compliance with OSH standards and company safety policies

Lead inspection and tagging of equipment, lifting gears, and fire extinguishers prior to deployment

Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments (HIRAC)

Facilitate toolbox meetings and safety orientations

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work practices on site

Respond to accidents/incidents and conduct safety investigations
-
Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions

Recommend improvements to enhance safety standards and procedures

Support implementation of company safety programs and initiatives
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or related field preferred)

At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in safety management

Accredited Safety Officer with BOSH Training
-
Knowledgeable in OSH standards and safety documentation
-
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
-
Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven
